People with MRC downpipes talk to me

Hi all im new to these so excuse me is some questions have simple answers. My c6 RS6 currently has a custom made cat back exhaust that was made by AAS near Newcastle im thinking about fitting MRC downpipes removing cats etc. My question is how much diffrence does this make to noise for normal driving as the wife uses the car daily for school run and already thinks its to loud also did you notice much increase in power.
