Valved Exhaust

Does anyone know of any manufacturers of valved exhausts for the rs6? Something that will be nice and quiet at cruising speed /low revs but a bit more sonorous higher up the rev range?

I haven't heard a Milltek car but have heard plenty of anecdotal evidence about motorway drone - I definitely want to avoid that.

Cheers

My car has a Milltek Dram, can honestly say it sounds great
Nice burble at low speeds and gear changes, then goes quieter as revs climb
Except for when planting accelerator then sounds great again

Not sure if mine is res or non res though

Think a few on here have valved exhausts, sounds like the cats on these cars are the restrictor in noise and power

Cheers Adam

MTM do a very nice valved system not cheap though. If you want to save a few pounds just remove the front baffles on the standard system works for me as I didn't want the motor way drone

Thanks for the replies, cheers. I actually didn't realise the MTM system was valves, that explains the price!!!

Is the car still nice and quiet at an 80-ish cruise with the baffles removed?

Cheers

Yes just enough to let you know you are driving a 5ltr V10

some more thoughts on this too - viewtopic.php?f=44&t=104603 (its the S6 v10 but I believe in terms of noise similar enough)

I've had (in order) - rear resonators delete on stock exhaust, non-res milltek, then res milltek. note that the drone (at least on the v10 non-res) is very liveable from my experience but it seems to be a very personal thing!
