Am relatively new to RS6 ownership and would appreciate some advice. Dropped my C6 RS6 Avant to the very knowledgable chaps at MRC for what I though would be a straightforward Milltek exhaust and a remap. However, on investigation of it being down on power, it appears both turbos are damaged and need replacing, which has significantly increased the bill! Given that the price for factory replacements is eyewatering, anyone have any ideas on potential upgrades / alternatives / second hand options?

Sorry to hear the bad news fella which is the 1st I've heard of turbos going on a C6 but did MRC mentioned the cause of the damage?.
There are some 2nd hand turbos for sale on Ebay.de if that helps.
Hope you have it sorted soon.

Mrc offer an upgrade path using the oem turbos and so do LOBA. What damage is on the turbos?

Not upgradeable as exhaust side is damaged also and parts to repair not available (original proposal was to upgrade both as compressor wheel damaged on one).

What mileage is the car and was it mapped by someone else before?. Turbo's going on a C6 is unheard of TBO so I'm keen to know what caused the failure.

Car has 29k miles and was previously standard. MRC said compressor wheel was due to a foreign object in the intake but were less clear on what could have caused the damage to both turbos on the exhaust side.
