Iphone 5 and MMI

Post by RossH14 » Sun Jan 12, 2014 8:27 pm

i've done it and jumped to Iphone 5 (form Iphone4)... but cant seem to get the Audi MMI to recognise the phone when using a (Apple supplied) 30pin-lightening adaptors

is it a matter of getting an update via Vagcom?

any suggestions?

thx

Same problem, I tried 3 different adaptors including the genuine apple one and no joy! I just keep an old semi broken iPhone 4 in the glove compartment now for music only as I've given up on the iPhone 5S unless someone finds a way to work it.

Would this work and link via bluetooth?

It certainly looks like it would do the job, can anyone vouch for these? Thanks for the link barryrs :)

I had this issue - eventually got it to work using an adaptor with a short lead (see below). Have to unplug the lead from the Iphone 4 plug and then plug back in to make it recognise phone for some reason.
