The old girl is booked in for her 40k service soon.

So....

Oil, pollen filter, etc etc
Getting plugs done too.
Got new high flow air filters to go in too.

What else can be done?

Fuel filter?
Gearbox oil?
Air con recharge?

Interested in whether fuel filter should be done?

Any one else got "extras" done when getting standard services?

Chris

Going to look at car tommorow.

I wonder about the top bushes as she's a heavy old girl and over four year old now?

If they are split might get them done under the Audi MOT insurance scheme on its next MOT next month?...if they warrant a MOT fail that is?

Ouch, fingers crossed its nothing serious or expensive mate. My last service at 50K I also have the plugs changed and I think I paid around £1100 but that included air filters and pollen filter plus normal service items.

News not good.

I'm off to get pissed and kick myself for not running a warranty....yes I know before I get lambasted I was stupid BUT these cars did seem bullet proof?

Anyway

Engine has to come out!!!
Oil pump gasket has gone and has been leaking for ages but I couldn't see oil because it was going on sump guard?

Awaiting Audi costing as we speak!!

Been and seen car on ramps and can see where oil coming from...

Sick as a chip!!

First thing to do would be to fight for some goodwill from the dealer/Audi UK.
If that doesn't work. Get it to MRC. They've done a few engine out jobs on the C6 so it will be done properly for less. A lot of the jobs Audi reckon they need to take the engine out for Grizz does with it in place on the C5, so defiantly get a second opnion.

Bad luck? Bad timing? A bit of both I think?

I've read two posts on SRS now and now mine about an oil leak?...all three sound the same?...rear of engine around oil pump?

Could be a weak spot?

Problem is it drips onto the plastic belly tray and you can't see it?...any excess oil just gets dragged away under car when driving?

You could see splats of oil underneath my car showing this?
