Full tank of Tesco 99 and got 150 miles :)

Post by classba » Thu Jan 24, 2013 6:08 pm

A bit of a mixed feeling today when the fuel light came on with only 20 miles left to go... All in all, I got just under 150 miles from a full tank of Tesco 99 all mainly town driving mixed in some nice A roads. That worked out just under 9 mile/gallon but I have put my foot down when possible.

But you know what, I'm loving it and the cost of fuel don't even come close to the shear joy it gives me. :jump:

That helps, going to collect my C6 (tomorrow hopefully) and it's 160 miles away, haha.
I must be sad, but I love filling up a new car because it makes it feel more real. I can't explain it but I'm hoping to get to my C6 tomorrow and see 20 miles left or something. :)

Amar,

on the motorway its not bad when you are having a play, i have seen 130mile from the 1st quater, then you get bored of just doing 80 all the time and nail it.

round town you can watch the gauge drop tho, worst i have had is 180 to a tank and that was just nailing it, as dave says in his OP its just addictive, i took a customer out in mine today, he has a 330hp stage2 s3 on a 57 and he was shocked as to how quick it actully it, yours must be insane as yours is 750+.. mine was last RR'd with 618.4hp when i had my exhaust done, Just trying to figure if i want the car and box map too. Maybe a ride in a stage 2 might change my mind on the whole lot.

A mapped car is night and day!

It's the slush box that does the MPG in around town...

I balance it out, company car does 78.5MPG. But all prepared for fuel economy.

Filled up this time with Shell V power instead just to see the differences if any.

i just always use normal Shell, i have tried V power and tesco 99 and i see no differnace at all while driving. i know its only £5 differnace in the fill up but that £5 could go towards the next fill up :P

Trups, MRC recommends Tesco 99 and my car is mapped with it so I personally wouldn't use regular 95 fuel.

ahh i see.

mines not mapped, it was when i got it but had it flashed back to stock.

i started using the tesco 99 but i dont like it, i have used v power alot in it but find no differance between that or the 95, so what i will do from now on is use V power.
