40k service items?(UPDATE NOT GOOD!)

No Oil leak on mine, just residue.

I have asked for it to be cleaned up and il see as I don't trust it.

either topping up the oil (which I have not done as car was serviced in Jan and ive done no more than 500miles)

Or spillage from last service to which I said do you let a car go out with a mess on it then to which I had no reply, so I have asked for it to all be cleaned up.

Question is Trups, where is the residue?

It shouldn't be from topping up oil if its on the plastic under tray?...the oil tank is no where near it?

Mine was to the rear of the plastic sump cover?

So if im under the car looking forward up it then is under the passenger side, so yes, no where near it the tank so that's a completely daft answer.

that's where mine is, its on the subframe and its all leaking through the small vent in the undertray.

That's with me standing at front of car looking back over?

I remember seeing the tray off at Audi leaning up against wall an I'm sure that's where oil was?

Either way buddy any oil that isn't where it should be requires investigation!

The oil pump area mine was leaking from was spotless,clean oil dripping out at a slow rate when engine running?...there was no dust/muck stuck around it so could easily have been missed?..just an occasional drip straight onto the plastic tray.
Evil eyes my the master tech spotted it?

I get my car back Monday matey so il report hopefully in a little more detail...and maybe upload paperwork on here so you can see what they have done?

Yes that would be great, I think once I collect mine I will quiz them a bit more about it. I asked them to clean it, Im going to get them to put it back on the ramp in front of me so I can see this for myself that they have cleaned it.

Instead they come back to me to say an LED in the high level brake light is out and there is a intermittent error on the reverse light where sometimes the right one don't work, all not covered and them wanting to charge me for it, I said not thanks, I can sort all the lighting myself.

Have a good look around rear of engine block when undertray is off.

It hard to see an explain but it looked like a rounded piece held on by three 10mm bolts?

There's so much stuff in the way it's hard to see.

Tech said they could just about get a socket on to bolts...but not enough to sort issue, hence block out!!

O ring has been replaced....this was the issue.

Hope it's all good for you fella...although if you have warranty you'll be laughing!!!

My point exactly. as the service advisor is a women there is only so much you can say as they don't have a clue. This is the same lady that tried to charge me for 10ltrs of oil when the car only takes like 8 (as stated by another member here).

Il call Monday while at work and tell them when I come in the afternoon I want the undertray off so I can inspect this and also speak to the "tech" that's been working on the car.

Must admit Teesside Audi have been great.

Keeping me informed on what's happening, where they Are on repair, and asking my permission at every stage before they do anything not agreed...running costs past me and inviting me in to witness work for myself when ever I please.

Got goodwill,and the master tech(Chris) very knowledgable and informative speaking to me in laymans terms.

You really new to get to speak to tech, Teesside Audi have the generic "bit of stuff" who deals with you but they haven't a clue about the technical side of the job, they just want your card details!!! Lol...and try and repeat what tech has told then but generally get in wrong anyway!

You need to get it from the horses mouth!!!

A2 fixed!!!

Broken vacuum solenoid valve for fsi flaps.

RS6 back tommorow!!!!

Found a weep in oil feeder pipe?

Just from reassembly though but they put new seal in anyway.

I'd rather wait another day and get it back with no issues so no great shakes!!
