Good work Ross. Goes to show it pays to not dismiss things at first glance. Seems priced higher than you initially wanted to pay I think. Did you negotiate a better deal with the owner direct?
What are general opinions on wrapped cars? A link to a car posted earlier is wrapped in blue. The car is Silver underneath and a colour I wouldn't have but does have black leather, buckets and reasonable mileage that I have been looking for. My rs4 was wrapped in blue when I got it. After about 16 month, it had faded slightly and had a few marks here and there so peeled it to find nice paintwork underneath (which was a relief mind). The wrap had definitely done the task and to be honest, most people thought it was painted. The amount of people who asked if I had the car sprayed black got boring ha. I'm not sure how long the wrap had been on but it was done very well and looked like paint. If the blue 6 I have mentioned looks like paint, I may be tempted.

Yes I paid significantly less than that screen price!

There are like 5 saloons on auto trader and are all quite expensive bar one which is grey. I have decided that I don't want the avant, I wasn't sure at first but yeah, I dont want it to feel and look like a boat. I was about to throw the towel in and get a 996 911 turbo as there is an abundance of them. I'm a nightmare I am.

Mark, I put a deposit on one on Xmas eve. I wanted a few things done on the car first though. It didn't have the original wheels which the guy had, the boot spoiler was fixed up so the hydraulic rams must be shot and an expensive repair but apart from that, the mileage and price were reasonable and the car is local but I just lost a bit faith because of the time it has dragged on. I was really close to withdrawing the deposit and looking elsewhere and have been seriously considering the C6 as per thread. I get on the porsche forum too and as you say, prices have probably bottomed out. I was set on one a month or 2 back, then it all changed.

Its unbelievably quick. For its size it's staggering tbh. And when you dont want it to be a nutter, just drive it round town like a 2.0 tdi auto. It's so tame and well behaved. I love it. Zero regrets.
