2009 + 3 yrs is 2012, so there will be more 2009+ cars coming up to end of lease/pcp/warranty that will come up

when i knew i wanted a RS 6, i promised myself it would either be one or all of the below

- a bargain (not bothered about spec or variant)
- 3G
- saloon
- Ceramics

in the end i got lucky and got all three

but my point is set your stall out and keep to it

I have an Audi warranty until end of May 2013 with the car. I was going to propose on top of the £500 they included another year. Can anyone make sense of this reply as I have never been through the extended Modial warranty process. I thought you just bought 12 months at a time and it was straightforward?

What's really slack is that the dealer principle is dealing through his sales exec and not
with me directly. Why wouldn't Audi dealer not be able to give an additional anti-warranty?! Or can they only be extended year by year?

The warranty extension is through Mondial it's not a dealer product per se. I guess they could cover the cost. Yes, the Mondial warranty can only be extended a year at a time post the factory warranty.

I actually assumed I'd have a 12 month 'dealer' warranty, was pleased to get the Audi version through the post.

When I bought mine a few weeks back from Tonbridge Audi I got a 12 months warranty from them and then I bought an additional 24 months from them at the same time. So in total I have the car covered for 36 months and this fairly comprehensive as it only excludes the SatNav and radio. This is not via Audi but the Inchcape Group. So I find it strange that they don't cover an RS when others do!

*UPDATE AND SETTLED TO MY SATISFACTION!*

After the feeble offer of £500, and a bit of backwards and forwards I told them I'd return the car on Monday.

Then came a further offer of an additional Audi Warranty to take me to Mid 2014.Which has got to be worth something. I have to take the car up in 11 months for a check.

It was a tricky one, and I gave myself til today to explore other cars, but having looked at a couple they both have a much lower spec. So, looks like she's staying.
