2.9 seconds to 60mph? Oh yes.
Does it handle like the rs4? Of course not. But it's simply staggering straight line performance is mind warping and it's exactly what I was hoping for - luxury and comfort with point and shoot supercar eating ability.

So far I'm over the moon.
Sounds like music to my ears Ross. I take it you jumped straight into a stage 2? I bet that is a whole different car to standard spec.
Mine has the latest MRC map (and gearbox map). Dunno what "stage" that is lol. I drove a 600hp one on a test drive a month or so and it was quite bland and lacked get up and go. This, in sport mode, you need to prepare for. It's honestly awesome. :)

No idea! It'll be "Mr Mrc, make it fast and through in arbs and springs"

I'll be curious to see if the arbs and springs make a significant difference.

How likely would Audi be to discover a car had been remapped when in for warranty work? Is the map 'date stamped'? In other words, would the 'must have been like that when I bought it' excuse hold any weight if the map became an issue?

Do you need to bother with the gearbox map and downpipe mods to make the engine map worthwhile, or can you just get the engine map done with standard exhaust/gearbox etc?

Depends what the fault is. If you goose you engine or gearbox I'd not expect them to cough up. Whether they pay out on anything else is going to be down to time and place. You modify you risk your warranty, simple as that.
