With the keyless go, do I just walk away from the car when I'm done? I haven't had the balls to do that yet and always lock it manually.
Amar, just press the stop engine button twice and apply the electronic handbreak. You can walk away or arm the car by the key fob or press the button under the door handle.

I always push the small button. I tried walking away but it never seemed to lock. I never bother locking the steering maybe that is where I was going wrong?
My steering auto locks.

Press the button on top of handle to lock it. Didn't know there was trick way of doing it and just walking away.

Button is hidden at the bottom on the C6. My plates and certifcate came through yesterday, hope the V5 hurries up as I did a test fit of them yesterday and they really finish the car off IMO.

Amar, what you should of done was to goto your local DVLA with the part B of the V5 given to you by Liam along with your new reg certificate, also fill in a V62 or 63 ( cant remember) and they will give you a new tax disc with your new reg number and stamping your reg certificate. This way, you get to put the new reg on the car straight away and just wait for the new V5 in the post.

Amar, you can still do that but DVLR don't open on Sunday's. You'll find the full instruction how to go about it from your new reg certificate.
You can print the V6? form from DVLA online, fill it in as well as your new reg doc accordingly and ask a friend to take it to DVLA... Bingo my friend.

Chris - I remember seeing a photo of yours I think (Sepang Avant) with that cut down plate. It looked great. I might try it.
Classba - The nearest DVLA office is about a 40 minute drive, I can't ask someone to do that! I'll do it next Tues or see if the admin guys at work need to head down to the DVLA to register anything as they sometimes do. Thanks for the tip.

Amar, did you get the spark plugs done today, cost from the stealer and any difference how she drives afterwards? Thanks.

They were supposed to call me back with a price, but didn't, that's a good start... I'll probably just get the genuine Audi sparks myself from TPS and get Audi to fit them, I've read everything from it's an engine out job to three hours labour on here. What is it?

Best not to buy spark plugs from the stealers. bosch part number: 242 240 627 / Audi part number: 101905631C. Can get them as cheap as under £8 each. I was quoted max 2 hrs labour by an Audi techician.

So about £200 then? Not bad. I'm still getting the Audi branded OEM parts. I've had bad experiences with OE parts and having spoken with MRC in the past, experience taught them to only use genuine Audi branded plugs vs OE ones direct from the manufacturer.

£200 depends on the labour charge. Check out "bay", genuine Audi set of 10 cheap. :bigblink:

Nice one! I have just bought them, £89 + £5 P&P from an Audi dealer, so they won't be fakes and I'll get a proper Audi invoice and the 24 months parts warranty. Result. That's the second thing you've helped me with today. That's a £54 saving I can put towards fuel. The sparks don't actually need doing for another 9k according to the service manual, but then the tuned ones work harder I bet.

Haha. Thanks. You bought Brett's old car didn't you? That was the first C6 I ever went in, he took me for a spin in Germany. I'm going to get the fuel filter(s)? done while I'm at it if you see them going cheap, everything else (oil/pollen/inspection etc..) has been done only 5k miles ago.
