C6 (any version) Clicking wheel bearing thread

Just dropped mine in, I couldn't get the clicking sound but I had the bearings on my daily polo done and its silent now, the Audi on the other hand is bad.

I have extended warranty so if they get funny il be sure to show them this thread.

Mine went again Trups after being replaced last August time?

Started again a month or two ago....getting done again along with everything else!!!!!

Mine are fine, they say the noise is from the tyres.

Will make sure I get it wrote that they have looked and there is nothing wrong with it just incase.. but I may try another dealer for 2nd opinion.

I cant hear it. I think when I collect it Monday I will get the tech to drive it in full lock and I will check it.

right, took the car Work yday as it was a nice day.

On the way home when I got back into the town I live in I took the small side streets how and had the window down and I have now started to hear this clicking noise, happens under 15mph when you twitch the steering left to right. think on Monday night il go to a car park with a mate and get him to do a full lock drive to see if its any worse, heard it while parking also as I left the car out as the mrs blocked the gate. not looking good, a new Audi dealer it is then!

It will get worse.

Mine started drivers front so could hear it no bother when window down...

Then passenger side started even harder to hear from drivers seat!!!

Swear I heard the click last night from mine as I pulled out from a space with right-hand lock on! Will have to check again this evening but the car has a service next month so can get it looked at then if need be.

What's the deal with this though. Will Audi do goodwill repairs on the bearings, or will I need to use my Extended Warranty? I have an excess on the Warranty policy. Any idea how much the bearing replacements usually cost?

Mine got done for free out of warranty!!!

Only because I have FULL Audi history and a good relationship with my dealer.

Don't know costs involved?....but make sure if replaced they get greased.

My left one has gone, clicking away, booked into Audi next week for replacement (not packing with grease). Is it a big job?

not a big job, they had mine for the morning to do both sides
