Update : I ordered the H&R springs 30mm, H&R ARB's, 4 OEM shocks all around, new mounts, bump stops, full front suspension (MEYLE HD) 3 X DRC lines (2 for the rear and 1 for the front, couldn't wait for 10 working days for the 4th one to arrive from Germany) and got the car towed to Keith's Garage in Kings Lynn, Norfolk.
Keith and I were on the phone umpteen times, walking me through the process, as well as all options and having owned a C5 and then a C6 it gave me confidence that he had prior experience with the DRC system, having his RS6 failed a strut and having to replace it as well as going through the draining and re-pressurising the DRC system. It took 2 days for all the parts to come off with one of the bolts freezing which I've been told took quite an effort to come off. The DRC was vacuum drained from the lines and pump and then the old DRC lines came off, replaced with new ones bar one. Finally, the car was repressurised with the Audi specialist tool (VAS-6544) followed by Hunter wheel alignment.
I went to collect the car after work and Keith stayed behind, picked me up from the station. Initial thoughts, as a passenger I could immediately tell a difference, the car was firmly glued to the road. After making a payment off I went on a what was initially showing as a 2hr30mins became a 3 hr drive along the country roads then the motorway. I am very impressed with the handling of the car, especially with the lack of roll around the corners, feels like a new car.
Keith owns the K BROWN Automotives garage, one in Hunstanton and the other in Kings Lynn and would highly recommend them. I should add that he is hell of a lot cheaper than what Audi stealers would have charged. He also happens to be a member here, albeit not very active one, username : Kbee666.
