Running out of space. Was still in 5th - hadn't changed up at that point...nor did it have GB map either at that point.

Unfortunately not if you're chasing 200, it's too bendy. I (dreamt obviously!) that I got up to 180, but couldn't push any further because I was very close to the limit of lateral grip on pilot super sports!

That would be freakin cool! And if it ever happens just put my name down and email me the date because I'd be there!

Although can you imagine the red tape? There would have to be 50+ page risk assessments for any eventuality, an air ambulance and fire engine on stand by... You'd probably have to be wearing hard hats and Goggles too lol. Our country is far too nanny state and brain washed for something fun like that to ever happen I'd bet.

I remember when Guy Martin did his "fastest bicycle" episode on the beach and they showed how it was done in the 80's - They used the new (unopened) M42 and had him ride behind a cossie :D

Never imagined I would ever do a genuine 200 mph in my own lifetime in a car I owned.

The RS made it smooth, uneventful and easy. took all of 38 secs or so to achieve. Most stable car I've ever driven at speed.

Anyway, scratched that itch....What next? ;)

Please forgive me if this is a dumb question cause I genuinely don't know. But where is it that TOP GEAR do their top speed runs?? Cause they've nearly maxed out a few super cars on wherever they use. Surely that could be hired??

Dunsfold aerodrome Surrey, only 1.76 miles long, not enough for an RS6..

Used to fly in there sometimes when I was in the army, and see different supercars being ragged round there.
