757 is a number at a point in time ... Nudenut hit 778 with the same spec as Speadfreaky who hit 730
Dyno and external conditions determine the bhp reading at anyone time

I have been reading loads on them.

730 ps (720 ish bhp) seems to be where they stick with a cat back pipe. I know 1.2 bar boost is normal max and 1.4 bar is pretty much balls out max. No good on a track but for the odd blast prob ok.

I am going with 1.4 bar of boost and no main cats and see what I can do. My car will never see a track

I'm not sure, what I do know is my old C5 was running less boost than C5's mapped by other tuners and was still quicker and smoother. The gearbox map is supposed to make a real difference to the drive too. MRC all the way. I can ask Mihnea what boost it is running.

After driving the car some (a lot) more today, I can now comment on the way it handles/stops.

When I owned the C5, I always had thoughts of how an M5 would have felt through a certain corner, and the steering used to frustrate me sometimes, it was so numb and lacking of any feel, it gripped well but that was about it. The C6, however, with the suspension in Sport mode is great. This is the first Audi I've driven with DRC and the 60/40 rear biased quattro split, and I am so so impressed at how flat and well it goes around corners for a car that weighs what it does, that I cannot see myself ever having dirty thoughts about an M5 ever again. The steering does not feel disconnected or numb at all. I am surprised that others haven't commented on how well the C6 handles/feels through corners. Just to point out, I wasn't on a track, that might be a different story, but I was on roads I knew very well and regularly drove on with my old RS 6, and the handling from C5 to C6 has been transformed, just like pretty much everything else.

Brakes - I was glad I had these today when I realised what speed I was getting to corners on country lanes at, and then remembering how much the car weighed. They didn't once fade, and just got better the harder I drove and the hotter they got.

The only thing I would change, and it's not a complaint as it's such a small thing is, I feel the DRC should automatically go in Sport mode when you select 'Sport' on the gearbox, because I've been stuck behind slow traffic on country lanes once or twice now, and when the car(s) turns off instead of just flicking it into sport on the gearbox, I first have to fiddle with the MMI and put it in Sport before I go, it only takes a few seconds, but it would be nice to just 'point and shoot'.

Dynamic should be perfect for everyday driving, Sport is way too crashy and hard - only suitable for the flatest of roads/tracks.
If you're havin to resport to Sport, your DRC is shot and needs regassing.

Looks like it's had a DRC shock replaced at 20k according to the history Audi have on it. I haven't really tried Dynamic, I've just been alternating from Comfort to Sport, but I'll leave it in Dynamic and see how I get on.
With the keyless go, do I just walk away from the car when I'm done? I haven't had the balls to do that yet and always lock it manually.

+1

Me too, no way can I drive on sport even on the motoway. Golfather has a very valid point.

Amar, just press the stop engine button twice and apply the electronic handbreak. You can walk away or arm the car by the key fob or press the button under the door handle.

The DRC is fine. I'm just selecting 'Sport' because I like to go all or nothin'.

UNDERNEATH the door handle!? So that's where the damn button thing is, I've been looking all over for it.

Getting the car booked in at Audi for a spark plug change and wheel balance tomorrow. Call me a tart, but I still want the V10 badges put on whilst it's there...

How many miles has the car done and when was the last time the spark plugs were changed?. Audi recommend 60k before change of spark plugs but that's way too long IMO. I spoke to Doug and he said for a mapped car, change the plugs every 30k is perfectly fine.

Drive in dynamic unless you want a smooth motorway run.

There is a little button under the door handle. Think its on the LHside of the door handle. Press this and it locks the car.

Found the little button. Love keyless now. It's so useful, makes fishing the keys out of my pocket when I use my other car feel a chore now.

Gave the car it's first bath today.

I always push the small button. I tried walking away but it never seemed to lock. I never bother locking the steering maybe that is where I was going wrong?
