Fourie Fabrications
Re: Fourie Fabrications
Stuart plied his trade at mrc for the last 8+ years, one of the best welders you'll see. He's more than just a fabricator he's been involved in some of the uks biggest and best Audi builds. Great guy and delighted to see he's getting high praise

Exactly! Why would you tell a customer to remove the x-pipe in your current system unless the customer asks for more drone, snap, crackle and pop? Not very good advice if you ask me. I allready had an exhaust with x-pipe and so did Ferravi.IanH755 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2017 11:57 pmThe difference is so small in that video (2hp at 360+hp) that it makes little difference in real life road driving. As to MRC, they said the same to me when I went for a 3in system, they said don't bother with any X-H pipe and just go straight through.
The only noticeable difference I found was noise. The Straight exhaust sounded more aggressive during the gear change "fart", in fact it's now like an anti-lag popping/banging noise, but that could also be down to the different back-boxes.
If you are having a custom exhaust buillt, that is a different story.

Well my exhaust system was custom made but I suspect it was the pressure / heat built up at the x pipe so much so it caused the pipe to discolour also the x pipe was causing the system to vibrate and rumble at the lower revs.
