Considering purchasing this RS6 C6 Avant RS06AAA, advice?

Thanks for the heads up. They are much closer to me but MRC is much closer to the dealer who is transporting the car there. Could be a useful contact going forward though - have you had much dealings?

Could you not sell your mondeo first? Then look for a private purchase. I never buy from dealers if I can help it. Most will do nothing to the car from when they get it from auction.
There are plenty of nice RS6 Avants around for sale privately.
I like your style though Integrale and Evo's that's where I came from.

Hi, you must be finding way more private ones than me. I've had a good look around in a 100m radius and I've found a few sketchy ones and a few that want all the money for nothing special. C5's seem to be easier to find. If I found a mint sub 60k miles C6 with the right spec I'd even let the Mondeo got to webuyanycrap.com for a quick sale. I'm so busy with work that I don't have the time to sell mine to tyre kickers and also go looking at others. Plus I've sold my other cars so I now only have the Mondeo or my wife's car which she'll be needing to commute again in the new year. A dealer swop is just way easier.
Also, I'm kinda getting a good vibe about this Phantom black one, all being well it's a little gem in a pool of Swarovski knock offs! As soon as MRC answer their phone I will be booking it in for its pre-sale check over.

I have seen 4 cars but not the one your talking about. I did nip to asm as there up the road and looked at the black on

What happened when you went :)
I never got to ASM, called them and was instantly put off by them closing me on the phone. Gave them the benefit of the doubt as I liked the car spec they had (although they had it listed as 2009 but DVLA had it as a 2008 58).
Then I googled them as a business - have a read here > http://www.cardealerreviews.co.uk/deale ... re-england

Decided that no matter how good the car seemed, if anything should need sorting then there is little chance they'd stand by any kind of warranty let alone consumer rights legislation.
I am pleased i spotted this and read the reviews about the dealer I was going to have a look at the black one also I think i might give it a miss

Hi rtd, thanks for the heads up. yes I saw that one but at £7k more asking price I couldn't justify that expense to get 30k mileage less and a few bits less on the spec (sunroof / power boot / 7 spoke alloys). Had the dark leather though!

I think it was on either piston heads or autotrader
