The old procedure for checking oil is a strange one mind.

And get your sig pic changed!!

Yeah it is a weird one! I was sat in the petrol station for 3 mins!
Everyone must of been thinking whats that bloke doing lol!

It wont let me change the sig lol!

Lol, no flat cap whilst driving M8.... only glasses are needed and both hands on the steering wheel. :assflash:

Mine did this - and I topped up like you - but after a couple of days it came back on - so keep an eye on it.
In the end had the sensor replaced - the front end has to come off hence the price being quite high.
Was about £900 IIRC. I had Audi warranty though.

If you open the bonnet it resets the sensor... so the light won't come back on for a little while anyway.

I had my sensor replaced but ended up having the same issue. Fixed by filling bit closer to the max line!

Just had this with mine, came up with a oil sensor fault in the dash then out up the oil level warning!! Checked the levels and were spot on as it had only been serviced about 500 miles ago so it's having it's sensor changed today thankfully under warranty as they are £460 plus vat plus fitting.

One strange thing audi did say is the fault can be caused by the dash? And to change the dash warning unit it's £1200 plus vat plus fitting!!

Glad I'm not paying hahaha
