Ride is better IMO...defo more composed when pushing on...defo less roll...although my spring are set very low.

A defo mod for any one who likes to "press on".

Car felt very composed on motorway coming back from Unit 20...as opposed to OEM.

Looks are a no brainer for me too...

Gunna try spacers back on this week too...see how she sits.

Must admit I removed the front plate the other day and naturally just looks more aggressive as a result, so lowering it is higher on my agenda now to complete the look.

Looks lovely there though Chris. Shame you're not closer, would pinch a ride!
Six... lets put it this way. The car drives more planted and sure round corners with the springs and absorbs the bumps better than OEM. The steering is more precise turning in quicker even round tight corners or out of give way junctions. Sat in a stock car not long ago and it felt wobbly with body roll in comparison. The DRC works so well that even with my 22" on Dynamic ride, it handles like a dream without any crash and bang ( NO fillings missing ) :biggrin3:

Sounds good! I'm always sceptical about spring upgrades and peoples perceived handling improvements when you read similar forum posts, hence trying to be more specific. Must get around to doing some more to my RS in 2014 though and this is a logical next step (along with a stage 2 MRC map!).

Update guys

8mm spacers fitted today(no photos yet)

All seems well...

Slight rub over undulating surfaces from rears, NSR seems worst?

Thinks it catching wheel arch liner?

Il see how it settles, may have to raise rear slightly?

Also removed front wheel arch liner screws.

Il try and post pics tommorow.

Chris, if the rears are rubbing without any passengers then you must raise it especially yours aren't settled yet which can drop another 5mm. I personally dislike using spacers and especially fitting them to a 2 ton+ car with over 700 bhp.

I thought it looked "weedy" on OEM wheels dropped?...they were well inside arches.

Spacers have sorted this...however it I can find an aftermarket wheel that does that job happy days.

I believe it's quite simple to adjust these springs?...got the tools to do it in box with them.

Specialist or DIY?

Or plan B?

I'm due new tyres any time maybe next 500 miles?

I'm running Dunlop Sport max OEM spec.

Any tyres with a smaller side wall that might mitigate against rubbing that anyone's aware off?

What tyres are you guys with dropped cars running?

Pirelli Nero tyres, custom wheels ( ADV.1) or ones that are proven.

Easy to adjust the springs as you say Chris, but the suspension geometry will be put out of alignment if you do, so would be worth having another alignment done if you do make changes (assuming you've had one done already).

ADV.1 wheels are f*ckme gorgeous but very expensive for what they are.

It's only the NSR that's rubbing today?

Worse as said when I had kids in?

Car looks level at rear?...do t know if NSR is set lower?

Easy to check if both sides are level. Measure the distance between the top and bottom spring platform adjuster cups. The very max is 40mm ( check the manual ).
