They are fcukimng robbing bastards. It makes my piss boil that we're all seen as easy targets for ripping off. If we're bright enough to earn enough money to indulge ourselves with an RS6, we're also probably bright enough to spot these losers trying to tuck us up.

Phone your local TPS and call yourself Olly's Autos, and reap the discount.

Anyway, nope, didn't include wear indiactors, I got those from Euro Car Parts for around £7 each IIRC.

I got through discs every 5000 miles on my C5 before changing them to drilled discs.
Audi gave me an officia document on how to bed new pads and discs as follows
CHECKLIST PROTOCOL - ROUTINE FOR WEARING IN BRAKES FOR SPORTY DRIVING
All vehicles with new brake discs and/or brake pads must wear in the brakes inorder to achieve optimum friction coefficients in later operation etc etc
PLease check of the respective testing field after each braking procedure in order to ensure the required number of braking procedures. It is essential to observe the sequence for wearing in the brakes.
Wearing in the friction surfaces
* Select a suitale route for performing the routine for wearing in the brakes
* Brake the vehicle 50 times fromm 100km/h to 20km/h
* Always allow the brakes to cool off between deacelerations by driving for one minute at 80km/h
* The braking manouvres must be made at a light deceleration that approximates braking comfortably when stopping at a red light.
THEN THERE ARE 50 BOXES TO TICK
Achieving Temperature-stable friction coefficients
To obtain optimal friction coefficients, new brake pads must be allowed to emit gas in a controlled process
* Follow the 50 comfortable brake applications with five consecutive full brake applications. However, avoid braking here in the ABS control range
* During these full brake applications , the friction surface fading temeratures must be reached. For this purpose, aply the brakes fully to bring the vehicle to 100 km/h and perform a full brake application again
* After these five rapid, consecutive full brake applications, the brake pads are so hot that the binding material can emit gas.
*On no account should you park the car in this state, Instead, go directly to the next step, 'brake ceaning'
BRAKE CLEANING
When the brake pads emit gas, they leave a film of dirt and lining material on the brake discs. Therefore, brake cleaning should be performed after full brake application.
* Allow the brakes to cool off before brake cleaning by driving at 80km/h for 10 minutes without stoping.
* Then perform fullbraking three times from 100km/h to 0km/h
* Between brake applications, cooling off phase of 3 minutes at approx 80 km/h must be provided.
The braking system is now ready to be driven sportily!!!!!!!!!

Phew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is an official Audi document handed to me :blackrs4: :blackrs4: :audibash: :bash:
If you try this imaganative excercidse try not to get arrested

Lol.... and by the end of all that, you need another new set of disc and pads. :drink:
Too much power is barely enough.

:bigwave:
I have found the following advice form zechenhausen brakes out of the usa to work for bedding in c5RS6 and C6 RS6 brake pads. http://zeckhausen.com/bedding_in_brakes.htm

Doing it 10 times sure beats "Audi " advice of doing it 50 times. Surely the 50 times must be a misprint and should read 5 or 15 times.

Has any thought of crossing to France or Germany and found the prices a lot cheaper. I new someone that used an Audi dealership in Calais or Bolougne and it was cheaper even with the petrol and crossing when having a service and they got red carpet treatment
