Im almost certain that power close wasn't an option for the saloon Amar.

Automatically actuated boot lid.
Opens the boot electrically via a radio-operated remote car key, button in the driver’s door or the soft-touch button in the boot-lid recess. Boot is closed by
pressing the button on the inside of the boot lid (Avant models only)

Automatically opening boot lid.
When the luggage compartment is unlocked, the lid automatically opens to make loading easier (Saloon models only)

That was taken from the 2006 brochure so potentially that has been updated since?

RS 6 Saloon wasn't around in 2006, and the C6 was facelifted too remember. It doesn't have Avant only on mine.

When I bought my C6 RS6 sedan as second owner from local audi dealer, they said should have V10 badges on front wings like S6, so dealer added them for me.

I didnt have the heart to tell them that RS6 came with out front wing badges.

The badges have grown on me and I now quite like them. Reflect the heritage of the Lambo derived V10 which will now no longer be with us on next model C6 RS6, unfortunately. Like people buy a RS6 to save petrol and save the planet! I want my carbon foot print when driving to be seen from space.

Here in Perth, Western Australia, no one knows what a C6 RS6 is, as only three C6's in city of 1.8 million! One sedan and just recently two Avants. Not many C6 S6's around either. The V10 badges and exhaust note make people wonder if this is diffferent from the normal C6 A6 , of which there are plenty around.

cheers,
john

I bought on ebay for gbp 15, this excellent high quality 'coffee table' style 54 page sales book/catalogue for the C6 RS6, updated August 2008. S/n 858/1160.00.18

I see that there is a September 2007 version for sale on ebay now.

I have never seen so many superlatives in one new car sales book.

"Performance doesn't matter... when you have plenty of it" and "When you know what power it holds ...and this power can be tamed" and "Calm can be moving.. when its the calm before the storm" and "To arrive is a beautiful feeling...when the journey always goes on" and so on.

Almost made me want to go out and buy one, but remembered in time that I already had one. :D

After one year of ownership, I have to agree with the comments in the sales brochure. :D

cheers,
john

Don't believe so, and yes.

Amar the model started from 2008 and the saloon from 2009 onwards,

In answer to your quiery regarding 3Gmmi yes all saloons have 3gmmi, as do the later updated avants like mine. 3g mmi includes 3D mapping. 3 years on from buying my car it looks state of the art and it still is a top notch system bar the lack of full 6 digit postcode, which if you know the street name you dont need anyway. Ive never had a problem with it, if you have digi tv aswell then your laughing.

Regarding the power closure on the boot, standard on the avants, and im pretty sure it is in the saloons as well. Difference being that you dont have to care about where you put things in the boot of the avant it just swallows it up, whereas the saloon you may have to pack it more carefully. Some people like to say the saloon looks a tad nicer but I went the avant as it fulfills the performance / utility label better as a GT car imo.
Quattro in all seasons for Ass Kickin reasons.

That’s good to hear, Adam. Well, you C6 lot are going to have to put up with me a lot more now, as I have just put a deposit down this lunchtime on a beautiful V10 RS 6 saloon, it was brave – as I can see the C7 hurting C6 resale values, but the car was too good to turn down, after sleeping on it, I woke up the next day with it still in my head so I HAD to buy it, I’ll need to see if I can get time off for the ring trip to test out the mighty Ceramics and MRC Stage 2 now, if I can, I am 100% in for some autobahn madness.
