Metallic Rattle noise

Hi everyone,

i have one noise on my RS6 which i am unsure of since purchase.

Its present when i drive, and stays around ~20sec when idling warm or cold. The seller told me he has heard this noise on other RS6 C6 too.

Best to be heard on the left wheel arch and i presume oilpump location related. Maybe high and low oilpressure related?
Somebody encountered something similar?

The car is absolutely flawless besides this nosie.

Hi Chris,

I appreciate it's been a while, but did you ever get any further with this? I have a very similar rattle on mine, and can't figure out what it is. One garage seemed to think it was the A/C compressor but it seems to be coming from further back than that.

From the video I wonder if it could be coming from the fuel vapour recirc valve on the back/left of the engine bay as that makes that type of pulsed "rattle" noise which you can hear with the engine running but it "should" be quieter than the tapping sounds of the injectors.

Maybe nothing, maybe something but at least it cancels that out if its ok.
