But we don’t talk about her past, she’s a bit touchy about it. She knows it was just a phase, like green hair, or listening to grunge. She knows we’re out from the dark side and onto greener pastures.

She wont be getting that kind of abuse from me!!

Apologies about the dirty wheels!! I was late for a plane and didn’t have time to wash them before dropping her off for the calipers to be done!!

Collection from Matt tonight so expect me to bore you all with some photos and videos!!! Sorry in advance!!

Grunge is still ok - those callipers were a crime against humanity ;)

I got mine detailed but still have a vast amount of paint work to be sorted from things like dog scratches on the rear bumper from the previous owner etc. At least with Audi there is way more depth and quality of paint to go in to than there is on our Merc. The paint on that is pretty ropey even when new!

That’s one way of describing them!!

Getting the car looking how I’d like now so we can concentrate on the important stuff of making it go faster!!

I’m not a fan of the murdered look. I’ve just replaced the grill as it had been painted black!!!

I quite like the silver bits on mine. I really need to get my wheels referred as well - they were in bad shape when I bought the car and this winter has not made that any better. Seeing yours makes me realise how mine need some love!

Yeah I like the contrast, I get the murdered look but it’s been done to death now. OEM appearance is where it’s at!! Apart from ride height, needs to be 20mm lower, which I’m working on.

My wheels need to be titanium as that’s how they would have come from the factory with the ceramics. So once summer is done I’ll be getting that sorted.

This has at least motivated me to email a company to start looking at getting my wheels refurbed - then on to the body work.
