Open Bonnet.... Not working

i know this is gonna sound odd, but have you though of one of those wifi endoscope things? I picked one up from fleabay a while back and they can be really useful for this type of thing?
not sure you could get enough purchase to open using it, but it might result in a cheaper less invasive option? just a thought?

Got one myself, cost me £15 and is just as good as my mates snap on borescope.. it actually lights up the cylinder better, granted its nowhere near as well built and probably wont last but i could 30x for the price of the snap on one.
