Post by tony091 » Sat May 27, 2017 11:48 am

hi lads
car has just started to act funny over speed bumps , wallowing all over the place & the car is always in dynamic mode , just cleaned it and noticed lots of oil/fluid inside rear drivers side wheel , looked under and all wishbones and shock area smothered in oil opposite side totally dry ? regards tony

Possibly (probably?) a split hose. York Audi charged me 159 for the hose, 14 for the oil and 240 labour. Plus the Vodka & Tonic.

If the hose is fine then it's a about £400 per strut to replace not inc labour.

I think it is recommended by Audi to change in pairs. At least thats what they told me. I only had a problem with one shock.

No they only replace the side that leaking. And only if its leaking down the strut more than 2 cm. Otherwise its classed as "normal misting" :?
