I've still got around 5mm left on my fronts so could you let me know how you get on?

Prices on AP have gone up a lot. I ordered front and rear discs on 15th March and still waiting for them to arrive from Clark Motorsport. New prices below

Front bells = £169.95 each
Front discs = £303.31 each
Rear bells = £102.68 each
Rear discs = £303.31 each
Good Info but wow, £70 extra for the front bells. I'm hoping there's been a redesign to justify the 70% increase!

PS I need to update my AP Racing price list to the 2017 version I found here - http://www.coordsport.com/attachments/a ... Retail.pdf

I ended up ordering front discs from Eurocarparts and the Ferodo pads from JDL. It looks like the rear discs are ok so am doing pads all round and front discs.

With that said, the discs aren't in stock so I've had an email saying they will get back to me on availability. If they can't supply them it'll be off to plan B from the info above (thanks for all that - really big help). The discs were around £500 with the bank holiday discount code.

Picking the car up tomorrow. Going to get cracking with a thorough clean and check over before getting the brakes sorted then the plan is to take it to MRC for a full service and health check.

Thanks for the update Andrew.
@ IanH755 im still very tempted by the £1899 Brembo 405mm kit. Seeing as AP rear discs are the same price to replace as the 390mm fronts, would my then 'redundant' front calipers fit on the rear to give me better stopping power all round?

The 405mm Brembos are Disc/Spacers only, not new calipers, so you'll still need yours for the front :D

Also, rear fitted 6 pots would be too big for the OEM rear disc size so you'd have to get bigger (370mm+) rear discs, move the handbrake caliper (or replace it) plus a new fluid reservoir and master cylinder to cope with the increase in fluid and braking force needed by having four 6 pot calipers when the system is only set-up to provide fluid/pressure for two.

One option is a whole setup from a GTR (calipers, discs/pads, reservoir, cylider etc) as it has a 370/390mm setup already, but how easy that would be to swap (if possible) I've no idea.

Damn it!
Way too much hassle on the rear but the 405 kit i was looking at has new calipers included for £2100. You've posted previously that you cleaned up your calipers and sold them on, i was just seeing if they could be upcycled!

Euro's cancelled my order saying they couldn't get the discs. Any ideas where I can get them from instead? Seemed like a good solution using identical Pagid discs rather than the OEM more expensive version but struggling to source them.

Thats the AP Racing Radi-Cal set-up on eBay then? (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AP-Racing-CP8 ... 7675.l2557) I'd seen them earlier and thats a Nissan GTR designed kit (405mmx34mm) and they've made different caliper spacers to fit the RS6 instead while the C6 AP Radi-cal kit is 410mmx36mm with a slightly different caliper (CP8522) which has less pad area overall but more clamping force.

Both setups will work better than OEM and the GTR kit is cheaper than the C6 version, plus you should make £750+ for your C6 OEM brakes which knocks the price down even further.

*EDIT* Just seen they've removed them from eBay?

You will not get hold of them from another source , your best of going into a local branch and getting them to order them. They will just arrive when they got stock but when I got mine the company only got 4 sets. They are really the only uk importer so its only them. I got mine on a 2 month back order they only do a production run when Audi place another order.

Deutscheparts had stock of some items on my shopping list and reckoned 5 days on anything else. They had fronts but not rears if i remember correctly.
Here's their ebay ID

Studiowise - Yeah thats the same guy, the AP kit is no longer there so it's just the Brembo set-ups left. Looks to be a good step up for the R8/RS4 (<370mm OEM discs) but our OEM calipers can already take 405mm discs so the calipers aren't *really* needed but it does make the whole kit much cheaper if you sell your OEM Brembo calipers and discs/pads etc I suppose.

Sorry to keep pumping you for info and advice but, with what you've just posted, would it therefore be feasible to maybe to source the 405mm 'kit' but exclude their calipers and run with my OEM calipers?

I'd be interested to know as well! Would like to keep my current callipers, I've got Ferodo DS 2500 front and rear pads coming just need to find front and rear discs and pretty open minded on the options.

Picked up the car yesterday and already booked in to MRC for a good check over at the end of the month :)

Andrew/Studio - Yeap, you can run the Brembo 405x36mm discs but you need the caliper spacers too, however I think the Brembo GT package (discs/caliper spacers/pads/stainless lines) is normally £1800 - http://www.jdl-brakes.com/brembo-gt-gt- ... liper.html - so if you can get RBBrakes to supply just the caliper spacers & discs it should work out under £1500.
