Ian, where's the best place to get the bells for the AP 390mm kit from please mate?

Here's who I used and they arrived the next day! -

Hi Ian

The discs are £294.80 each and the bells are £99.70 each both prices include VAT.

You need these part numbers -

2x CP8080Z240 - Bells
1x CP8080Z24CG12 - Right Disc
1x CP8080Z25CG12 - Left Disc

The bells need fitting to the discs (all parts supplied) and you need a 6NM Torque wrench & an E12 Star Socket (maybe E10) but its very simple and only takes about 15 minutes per disc.

Absolutely awesome mate, thanks.

Now this is going slightly off topic but are the 390mm rotors that Grizz supplies much different to these?
I think Supersi has also mentioned some Loba 390mm discs are different/better? Thoughts?

All would be better than OEM, after that they're all very similar as they all use AP discs -

The Vagbremtechnic ones Grizz fitted are AP Racing replacements for the OEM Nissan GTR rotors with a slightly different Bell to the RS6 AP one (prettier). The GTR discs are also 34mm not the RS6's 36mm but the material, cooling properties etc are still the same between the GTR and RS6 AP discs, although the thicker RS6 specific ones may last longer. The £1200 "J-Hook" version is the right price as the special grooves are expensive but the Grooved version (£1270) is just the stock AP disc and should be £800 for the rotors and bells. Someones making a lot of money there.

The LOBA ones are a custom design made by AP Racing specifically for LOBA in GTR sizes (390x34mm again) and are/were extremely expensive (£1700+) for an OEM sized replacement disc setup. However they should be miles better than OEM but how much better they are than AP Racing's own 390mm I don't know TBH as no-one ever posted a review - viewtopic.php?f=47&t=95775

My own personal experience of the £800 RS6 AP discs (390x36mm) was that they are around 5kg per side lighter, vastly better cooled, much harder wearing and could cope with most track-days no problem so I'd expect the other 2 of the above discs to do the same.

Yes they do, just checked the prices and they are the same as the fronts, even though it's a smaller disc (£800 - £600 rotors and £200 bells) and it's a proper 2 piece design just like the fronts. TomRS had a set on his C6 with DS2500 pads and seemed happy with them -

Quick on Ian you might know the answer , can you code out the pad warning on the c6 like earlier models or do you need to make a little home made loom when running the ds2500

I made a little "loom" by cutting the plug off my old pads and shorting the wires together. There are 3 places you can do this, near the pad, inside the arch liner at the top or near the bulkhead but obviously the one nearest the plug is the easiest to get to.
