I had to put in 1 litre of oil in the first 2 weeks of ownership (2.5 years ago). My car had "misting" around the oil seal (as described by audi to avoid an insurance claim!)
I then discovered Forte seal conditioner.
I did some research, including calling Forte's research dept.
Forte explained to me that the additive is chemically inert to the oil and engine but basically re-conditions any rubber it comes into contact with.
I put in 2 at each oil service (depends on amount of oil in engine) and for the last 2 years my car has basically lost hardly any oil.
1 tiny top up I can remember in the 2 years
Forte seal conditioner is trade only to buy (in the UK anyway) but you can buy it on ebay
Works for me
ordered some up,gonna try it
