Wow, that is quick!!! I think that screenshot of those times will have probably just made a lot of people go looking for an RS6 to buy. I can imagine something like this making 2nd hand prices start to rise and see MRC even busier than before.

There is nothing special on our car and all the 720+and 1000nm cars should do this time - just esp fully off, in sport mode and brake, foot to the floor then let off the brake - it will be a 2000rpm launch with a bit of spool/lag - and that is where I think we can improve on that time.

Very impressive Doug. Do you think mine can produce better 0-60 and 0-100? Thanks.
Too much power is barely enough.

depends on grip - you get to the point where too much torque means wheelspin and that is hard to regulate on the auto cars. 2nd and 3rd feel like it takes an age to do these times so im sure yours will do a lot better 0-100.

Really, is it OK to do that to the gearbox? I did this many years ago in my Dad's brand new £70K XKR and immediately lunched the gearbox! I've been tempted to try this in the C6 but I've never had the balls?

Are you looking at adding variable launch rpm's the same as the B7's?

Hi Doug, :bigwave:

that is exactly how I launch on the quarter mile. Unfortunately there is no one here who I trust to modify the gearbox map, so suffer a little in performance using the standard gearbox map. There are only three C6 RS6's in Perth :boohoo:

I have found that often I get less wheel spin and a better launch if leave suspension in comfort mode instead of sport as appear to get better weight transfer to the rear wheels.

I am definitely interested in a set of roll bars for my RS6 as gets a little frisky on track at 310 km/hr.

Appreciate any advice/ link on the roll bars.
cheers,
john

I can confirm similar performance figures in my MRC mapped car (same spec as dougs). :)
