Finally got one

Post by Doug_S2 » Thu Feb 26, 2015 11:44 pm

We weren't really looking but a customer traded this in and he kindly managed to get it off audi and sell to us.

Stage1 mapped straight away - so that's all stock without high flow filters - the health check turned into a map.

Rollbars next, to get rid of a bit of roll and bit more feel at the front.

Crazy power. Brutal in a straight line I bet. Makes my 436bhp rs4 sound so weak...

What roll bars Doug, I've searched high and low for them and couldn't find anyone selling them?.
Too much power is barely enough.

Wow what a find! Originally fitted ceramics or retro fitted? Not that it really matters i suppose! Great car. I am interested in what anti-roll bars you are looking into Doug too.

originally fitted ceramics, the sepang and black piano trim made me buy it - all the spec that I wanted.

I've not even driven it on the road full throttle yet.

Looks an awesome find! Quick question - I test drove an RS6 yesterday and the breaks seemed spongy and not very responsive. Any ideas? Are all RS6 C6 plus ceramic brakes?

Thanks in advance.

Ceramics all round can feel, maybe not spongy, but not as sharp as they should. I would change pads and fluid and bed in then see if the same - if the car has never been driven hard the pads glaze badly and don't bite.

Anti Roll Bars fitted and it does make a difference - more stable in straight line at speed and big difference going around a roundabout coming off - when you get all the weight transfer.

Stock front ones are definitely hollow so light and not very stiff.

Front Stock roll bar is 31mm and 3.5kg
H&R Roll bar is 32mm but solid and 9.3kg

Rear Roll bar is 22mm and 3.8kg
H&R Roll Bar is 26mm and 5.2kg
