or Jack Barclay will work on a tuned '6 but yes it will be caveated.
@Skir6 - All in was 2,052. not bad I thought
Never had this issue. A mapped C6 isn't easily detected, like some of the TD1 models, I watched a senior tech and master tech conclude a 700BHP one was standard (not mine, my customer's) after doing a full inspection and specifically searching for a map.skirs6 wrote:Audi will just wave goodbye if you want any warranty work done and its engine related with a map. I had to get mine checked to make sure it wasn't mapped a few weeks ago before they would even consider taking the issue any further
Without wanting to 'dis your tech, what does that say about the quality of the techs?!Mr V10 wrote:Never had this issue. I came to the conclusion it wasn't very obvious to see the map, not without logging boost etc... Which wasn't done. The C5 was the same. You might be right, I did inform them of the map btw, both argued with me it was standard, suited me and my customer.doodlebug wrote:Without wanting to 'dis your tech, what does that say about the quality of the techs?!Mr V10 wrote:Never had this issue. Mine was picked up on when I had mine, he said there was also a note on their sys to say it had been picked up on before.Mr V10 wrote:I came to the conclusion it wasn't very obvious to see the map, not without logging boost etc... Thanks. I've had a stage 2 but I need to get a bunch of work done. I need to have an engine mount replaced, a gearbox service and map and potentially the pre cats gutted now so if the S2 map needs a tweak it's no problem! I'm paranoid about the noise though. Where abouts are you in Kent as I'm down in Kent next weekend in Tunbridge Wells for a few days if it would be possible to have a listen at some stage?kent_andy wrote:i think it was 380, but then you need to remap it to get any worth out of it.
