suspension light on

Anyone had any problems with suspension light coming on in the dash? Mine came on a few weeks ago, it comes and goes when started and turned off. I saw a friend who is an auto electrician and when plugged in it read n/s front sensor, bit tricky to get to and change. £140 later and still coming on. I have extended audi warranty so it will be going in as soon as I return from work away. When the light is on the settings stay in comfort (thank goodness). My guy says it could be the computer (ecu) I presume having a glitch??. The car drives fine and wife is using everyday. I got it replaced without using warranty due to £250 excess, will this bite me on the arse when I take it in and I tell them I've changed the sensor or do I say nothing and let them change it again as part of their diagnosis?? worried/paranoid not being covered due to technicality.
