Speed warning!!

Post by vangelis » Wed Jan 29, 2014 10:02 pm

I have the speed warning set to somewhere between 80 or 100 (i can't tell as I focus more on the road) but every time i kick down i get this warning for sometime and then disappear .. however, when i checked the speed warning settings in MMI i found it set to 0 ZERO! so how to disable this plz?? any other option somewhere?

There are 2 limits, should both be on the same page. Check the other.

I have checked again all MMI settings and nothing other that that single setup to set the warning limit to zero. I guess it need to be reseted by VAG? It comes at 120km/h and keep a warning signal for sometime on the DIS screen.

if you haven't sorted it out yet i can help you out, the IC must be re coded via VCDS to ROW, since it is a GCC car it's coded to Saudi Arabia region, therefore the 120kmh speed limit, ridiculous though as nobody here seems to respect that limit on the highway or for that matter most of the traffic rules :). Give me a shout when/if you're in Abu Dhabi or i will when i'll be in Dubai.

Thanks buddy .. i thought so too .. i tried everything even the check button to disable Speed limit 1 & 2 all but still its coming right at 130 km/h every time. So i guess it needs VAG .. I had the same in my C5 and had to take it to the agency to remove it .. will call u soon to meet in Abu Dhabi and let me know when you here in Dubai anytime :)
