Thanks, wish they would do both as the other one is probably not far off.

They need to take the disc off to replace the wheel bearing, don't they? So would it be unreasonable for me to only expect them to charge me for changing one of the discs?

Had this clicking noise since ownership 2 months ago, stationary when turning the steering and upto 20mph , worse when stationary...,

Currently at a dealership now - Master technicians comments after test drive "sounds like ball joints" me "have you has any experience with a c6 with this issue" master technician "no"! Omg! What is wrong with Audi! God help me

Rocket. Take it to Jack Barclay Audi in Wandsworth. They know the C6 very well. I made a four hour round trip just to use them. They've done wheel bearings on these and currently have the engine out of one, the master tech Adam spent 30mins on the phone to me last night, he's v.v. knowledgable on RS's and has one himself. The service manager (knowing I did the distance to use them) came out and introduced himself and gave me a tour of their workshop, massive facialties and loads of RS models. Best service from any Audi dealer, ever!! They've gone above and beyond to help me, and for the first time at an Audi dealer I have complete and absolute confidence my car is in the best of hands.

Hi guys, I was wondering if the clicking is constant or when you turn the wheel when driving? If I open the window and swerve side to side at around 10-20mph I can here it click- is this the same thing? I've got 2011MY RS6 with about 47k on clock, have extended warranty with £250 excess, what sort of coin am I looking at for this to be fixed?
Reading some of these threads it seems to be the same thing, haven't noticed on full lock though!

its only when turning the wheel when driving (mine was never heard when in a straight line) .. Also can usually be heard at any low speed .. ie about 5mph when manoeuvring in a car park

Is it the fronts or the rears that usually goes? Or no difference?

Cheers, to me it sounds like its the passenger side front which is clicking. :audibash:

Any DIY writeups for the change? I see the SKF replacments are like 80euro a piece, with bolts. Is there a preferred brand?

Mine are also starting again!!!..... :audibash:

Hopefully they will get done under parts warranty as it's been under 24 months since mine were done.

As the OE bearings are failing, I plan to use SKF or FAG which are very high quality bearings.

BTW, has anyone had a look what brand the OE audi bearings are?
