DONE IT!!!

Sussed it out in the end.....you do feel as if youre going to break something at any minute though... :bash:

Any way...youd be amazed at the <beep> i got out....leaves...dead wasps!!!...four pieces of gravel.. ....and some small twigs!!!!

Then flushed though with water(seems to be a channel below fans for it to rinse away smaller stuff)

Then because im sad... ....polished and waxed black gloss intakes...and...tidied up air scoops with back to black...

Looking good again.....good thing is there doesnt seem to be any pipes in vacinty of any collected debris to cause corrosion...a la B7 RS4?.....but still nice to clean them out now and then..Happy Days... :jump_clap:

I used a 1 inch wide scraper wrapped in a cloth....you can see the clips when you look...so worked scraper in gap and "popped" clips out....worked all the way round....then just pulled it out.

When replacing...clip outer edge in first then thump back into clips...job done.

Once you start it..it will become apparent how to do it... :beerchug:

Personally, I think a good suck is better - Dyson, tubing liberated from water butt (giggles), 12" of electrical tape.....

Hi fellow C6 tragics, :bigwave:
good owner techniques for removing crud from air cooler (intercooler) radiators posted above.

If you wish to clean out as per the Audi workshop manual, go to ; http://elsaweb.spaghetticoder.org/doc/A ... 34980749/3

Finally an online easy to use Audi manual for all Audi models including C6 RS6, courtesy of shoppinit on RS6 C5 forum    :http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=97694

Just came across this:

http://elsaweb.spaghetticoder.org/

Seems to be complete.
Don't know how long it will stay up for.
Daytona RS6 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo).
"Let us think the unthinkable, let us do the undoable, let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all."
END QUOTE

Before it gets taken off, I am going to print off a copy for my use. Sure would like to buy a Bentley printed manual for the C6 platform like the "Audi A6 Service Manaul 1998- 2004 C5 platform"
More computer savvy chaps can extract the manual into a pdf.
