Similar to me then, I am going to get about 15k out of the tyres. Have about 2.5mm on the inside of the tyres but right on the 1.6mm limit on the outside of the tyres.

How much have you been quoted for the Michelins?

Has anybody also ever had the Continental Sport Contact 3's?

the dealers quoted about £400, but 300 a corner seems to be about right from what I have seen.

Anyone had any experience with these mobile fitters, I am just worried about them working on a drive and also the TPMS.

Seems a bit silly to send it to the Audi garage to pay a premium, when I am sure there are plenty of good people out there.

think i can give a pretty fair assesment on tyres.

first test drive in a c6 back on 2008 was on sportmaxx gt's
id say performance wise you wont notice much difference between them and the OEM pzeros (which is what my car came with -lasted 12k miles at 36psi allround.)

then went to Vreds, ultrac sessantas, loads of grip but deceptive with softer sidewalls which take some getting used to, awesome in the wet, lasted really well considering they took a real thrashing had to run them at 38psi. they are very good road tyres but have a different feel to pirellis and dunlops.

then got an mega discount on some pzero rossos, big mistake, more suited to a rangerover.

now on my MTM 21" rims and PS2's......frikkin awesome- totally changes the handling of the car, much more stable and solid under cornering and acceleration and a more direct sharper turn in with even better feel through the steering. car just feels so solid under hard braking too. obv dont know what they would be like on 20's but im assuming they would be the best considering the margin by which they are better on the 21 rims.
Quattro in all seasons for Ass Kickin reasons.

From looking at the guide on the inside of the door 36 psi sounds low all round? I have followed the guide and in bar units have been putting 2.7 in front and 2.6 in rear which is about 38/39 psi for the Pirelli.

Ended up at £1,200 all in for 4 Dunlop tyres, was the lowest I could find anywhere in the area. Pirelli were an extra £50 a tyre and as the comments seemed fairly mixed across both I thought I would save the £200!

I went through a set of OEM Pirelli's in 7k and the PS3 lasted over 10k and strong with 4 trackdays and 5 'Ring laps, Px'ing!

Just about to change the rears on the R8 after 2k road use!!
