So who has took there RS6 on the track?

How did it handle and perform against track competition?

Not an RS6, but worth the post :)

Interesting, I do recall seeing a white RS6 Oversteering on the Ring on YouTube.

Would like to hear feedback from owners who have tracked here cars on a GP track such as Silverstone/ Brands or even Spa.

I've done 5 laps of the 'ring in October last year in my RS6, taking some relatives out for rides. The car is big and heavy, no avoiding it. Obviously great go in the straights but come each corner and I was pussy-footing around. It felt pretty neutral, a bit of understeer which can be easily overcome with trail braking. Still, very much a "slow in, fast out" car :) Would not be (and is not) my choice for the track.

Yes, it is a heavy car, but handles very well considering.

In safe mode it is near un-crashable, but once you get to the limit of the stability control settings it then slows you down, so its best not be too agressive

Disable the ESP ASR and then it can be a joy of 4 wheel drifting, as long as you can hang on as it defies physics

Brakes go mushy after 8-10 laps so could do with Castrol SRF or carbon ceramics if they are any good

Last time out was Oulton Park was a non stop 38 laps before running out of fuel and brake pads!

Drop tyre pressures to 32psi to start and let them go up to no more than 42psi

38 laps non stop, that's what you call commitment.

Brilliants that's what I like to hear.

Sounds about right. I thought my 35 laps straight at Brands Indy was hardcore hehe

Ref the tyre pressures, I run mine at 40psi Hot, find its the perfect balance, any lower and things tend to get a bit splashy. M pads lasted longer though.

Have you considered RBF600 fluid and braided hoses?

Surprised you weren't black flagged even on an Open Pit Lane that's a long time. LOL

Varley, did you have SRF in there, or the standard fluid?

Did the brakes eventually disappear after 10 laps, or just feel mushy and continue to work, due to the brake hoses expanding from the heat?

I'll be taking mine to Germany this year for some Touristenfahten (I race in the VLN series occasionally), so I don't want to come all the way down the hill to Bergwerk and not be able to stop!

Loved it ....

Standard fluid used.

I am thinking of using SRF, can anyone advise on this, pads and hoses?

Brakes effective after 8-10 laps but mushy, but not ineffective, as said probably the hoses expanding.

Discs red hot at end of session. Was about to be black flagged for this.
