Roof Bars

Hi,

Am considering purchasing an S6 Avant.

From those with experience, do they all have roof rails fitted as standard?

Is there a physical gap between the rail and the roof of the car?

I ask as I already have a set of roof bars/bike carrier to fit to rails (already on an A4 Avant) and want to know if I could fit them to an S6 Avant (I dont want to have to buy new, only for A6, ones!).

I would love to be able to 'pop' and have a look at one on a forecourt, but the nearest it some little distance away. (unless you can tell me they are exactly the same as standard A6 ones)
