Rear Diffuser fitment between models??

Can someone please advise if they are in the know as this is boggling my mind
I notice that there was a facelift between the 2006 S6 V10 and the 2008/09 onwards at the rear. One of them being the diffuser.
The diffuser on the facelift rear end looks much nicer than the standard grey one on mine. Will this be a straight swap as the bumpers looks the same?
I believe the part number of the facelifted diffuser is 4F0807521 1RR.
If anyone can tell me I would be grateful
