'Sensible' Purchase
Re: 'Sensible' Purchase
Personally I wouldn't go for an S6. The NA V10 is rather strangled, the economy is pants for the bhp output, and the suspension is infamously granite hard. S4 Avant 3.0 would definitely be the sensible purchase here. However I'm sure everyone here will agree the S6 V10 is special in a way an S4 3.0 can only dream of.......

Re: 'Sensible' Purchase
450bhp returning 20-25 mpg isn't too crushing
Suspension is firm but not rock hard and the handling imo is fantastic for a large saloon
Audi should have squeezed more from a 5.2 for sure
Great VFM right now

i totally agree VFM is great, and the sound track is brilliant once unleased
but 429bhp claimed ... word on the street is they suffer the same fate as the B7 FSI ... so c.400bhp at 2Tonne's with minimal torque in a barge body is not the best combo
but as a fast luxury cruiser, it ticks the box
come on Kash, show us some pictures ... we already know the reg plate !

Re: 'Sensible' Purchase
I ran one for 3 years 30,000 miles replaced with a RS5.
Apart from oil changes, two sets of front discs, one set of rear pads all fine. Did a few track days with the SRS chaps, where it held it own. Had a miltek non-res initially changed to the res version shortly after a long trip the Germany.
Nice car to be in good kit inside, phone prep nav etc only added a Denison ipod conector (which I have here for sale)
In all, a fine car very understated with TDI badges fitted keeps them guessing!
