Can't wait to get mine on but looking at the rear today I don't think I can get it much lower until I'm back on 255s.

Noyjatat wrote:Well after many attempts to get the stance right I'm there. Thanks to all the guys who messaged me the details of theirs especially Rick who has a similar exterior set up as me.

As I have been away from the car for over four months I took her out today and covered a couple a hundred miles around town and on the motorway. The suspension at low speed feels very similar to the standard setup an is very forgiving when driving normally. Speed humps I have found to be no problem with no rubbing whatsoever. The only place it became noticeable was when I hit a couple of inches deep pothole. Out on the bends and on roundabouts there's a massive difference as the car moves through the corners flat but with feel. After a gradual build up to find the limit, the car was easily quicker through any corner and gives you total confidence in the feel of the road. Overall I am amazed the car has managed to keep the comfort characteristics while improving its ability to push to envelope when the urge comes upon you.

I have not been in a car with the fully adjustable coilovers so have no comparison but as an everyday driver I think this is a great upgrade to the car, especially at its cost in comparison to the fully adjustable kit, that keeps the road feel while pleasing that little red devil in all of us when he comes out to play.

Very happy and looking forward to hearing the thoughts of those others who have done the group buy.
Just seen your pictures on the B7 Picture thread - looks awesome buddy! Just the right stance :thumb:

I need to mirror that myself now with the same kit. What were the spacers/settings in the end? I have 8mm front and 10mm back on SS+. I expect the rears spacers are going to fine for me but I think the front is going to rub with 8mm. I'm on std alloys 255/R19's. Thanks!

Big thanks to Grizz and the team at Unit20 for fitting the KW Kit and the Milltek. She now sits low and sounds awesome.
Didn't stop smiling until i got home, 172 miles later.
Will post pictures when she has had a clean, she's got a few dead bugs in her teeth.

Mikefish you and your extra inch buddy :D I am looking forward to seeing yours lowered as I haven't seen any with your wheel choice, size and colour combo yet. I reckon you are right about the 255's but my old 20's fitted fine on the back and having the adjustment will allow you to play until your happy. I reckon once you have it all fitted the back will be fine with a minor adjustment and then you can play with the front until you are happy.

Nickyboy I posted a comment on it buddy I'll let you read it rather than spoil it by posting it again here :D

Gavla I am running the same wheels as you the OEM 19's, tyres are 255/35/19 Conti 5's. In the end I went for 10mm rear and 5mm front buddy. Hope this helps :D When I fitted 8mm on the front they rubbed a little over bumps on the lining screws, it's a small thing but Ipswich has crap roads with lots of broken Tarmac so I went smaller.

Cheers for the comments guys and keep up the great subtle modding :D

I think Rick_RS4 was running 6mm and had no problems either and has a great stance too. His advice helped me achieve the stance I have. It's in his project thread along with some great pics

Nice one BigT. Do you know how they set that up in terms of percentage drop available ie is that half way down, 3 quarters down or as low as it will go?

Hi Mike, Lee at Unit 20 said that the rear is all the way down with half a turn back, regarding the front I don't have a clue but it is low, the liner screws at the top of the arch have gone for a little extra clearance.
I'll try and take some pictures for you of the front and rear adjusters to give you an idea.

Ok cool, thanks. The back looks no lower than mine is already so might just get the front done, or look at what Young Ben did to get his lower.
