Can't change coding on 46 Central Conv
Sorry if I'm being dim, but I can't seem to change the coding on a friend's 2005 A4 so that the horn beeps when he locks the car with the remote.
I've tried adding 1024 (and removing it) and tried other codings. When I click "do it", the coding just goes back to 07024. I've tried various combinations.
Do I need to login first or something?
(using genuine ross-tech and version 8xx)

RE: Can
Lets start with some more information on the car itself, please post a complete Auto-Scan from the vehicle in question. This will allow us (even without fault codes) to take a closer look which components are installed and which control modules you have there (i.e. part numbers and such).

Any ideas then? Maybe the ignition needs to be off?

That makes sense. Thanks. Doens't explain why the coding wouldn't change, though.
Unless it was to stop me programming a stupid value in? But I thought they would let you make mistakes like that.

That makes sense. Although I did try adding / subtracting 1 (LHD / RHD) to see if it woudl take the coding, but it didn't in either case. Never mind. Not my car

Never could change the coding on this module. No idea why.
