R8 "Exclusive" options

I just received a new brochure from the R8 team with the new exclusive options - I dare say some of you out there will opt for one or two - maybe all on the list, but at £3,750 for a luggage set or £1,600 for the RS4 bucket type seat, Audi are pushing it to far now. With regards to the seats - this was a no cost option on the RS4 so why are they charging £1,600 for the pleasure on the R8.

I specified my car several weeks ago, and was slightly shocked when the options totaled £13k but these additional exclusive options are taking the whole thing to far.

My previous car was a 997 Carrera 4S, decent spec and cost the high side of £70k - I'm currently driving the brilliant RS4 and giving serious consideration to canceling my order for the R8. For the base R8 to cost £76k is one thing, but the prospect of spending £20k in extras pushes me closer to buying a 997 Turbo than the R8. Time for team Audi to give serious consideration as to options and standard spec

Tonbridge Audi have R8 in their showroom with a £99,950 tag on it. I didn't bother checking the spec, it is way beyond my pocket anyway.

[quote="PaulF"]Tonbridge Audi have R8 in their showroom with a £99,950 tag on it. I didnI agree chillin, Audi are taking the piss on options. My current Rs4 B7 is as fully spec'ed as my R8 is (delivery in march) yet you get stung for £15k worth of extras, taking the R8 to £89k.

I have no problem with paying for a the basic car proce, but feel pretty peeved paying such silly money for what are obviously extremely profitable additions for Audi... It would be a bit like frd saying ' here is the your new Mondeo sir at £15,000, now we just need another £10k for the engine' - its not good for customer releationships in my mind.
