Hi guys.

Whats the best way to launch the R8 in a way that's not too aggressive? I'm going to santa pod in April and want to do a few runs but dont want to go crazy. The car spins up even with esp on so is it still best to turn off and are suspension settings likely to make any real difference?

If the track is not too green and its warm you should get plenty of traction. Just watch out early on or if its cold. Might be worth dropping a few PSI out too.

depends on track temperatures and if its glued in well or not, for mechanical sympathy in 4wd id recommend a soft launch i.e. launch at lower revs to fully engage the drivetrain for a split second before full throttle otherwise youll end up riding the clutch out and the slight roll off the line will limit wheel spin.

or however if you don't have mechanical sympathy in mind, or have deep pockets do a couple of runs and just increase the revs at each launch point, start at say 3-4k and go in 1k increments and let the time boards dictate what is fastest.
