Dodgy horn?

OK, I know this post is a bit trivial, but something's been bugging me for a few weeks now.
Being a courteous driver (as all R8 drivers are), I rarely have need to let others know I am there by use of the horn. However, a few weeks back (see above), some fairly major cutting up at a certain roundabout in Aberdeen caused me to hit the R8 horn for the first time. I was not impressed. In fact, I wasn't even sure that I'd pressed hard enough.
Some miles on, when the miscreant had been appropriately dispatched and the road was clear, I ventured to try the horn again. It was definitely working, but it was really pathetic. I can only compare it to a fairly weedy VW Beetle from the 60's - and certainly not the healthy warning note my old RS4 used to have. There was much amusement from Mrs Bonzo when her opinion was sought - I won't be doing that again in a hurry.
So, is the standard horn a weak and feeble excuse of one, or is mine bust and I need to seek help from the warranty man? All advice gratefully received.
