The R8's design shouldn't have been compromised by the need to conform with other models. It should lead the way.

Has it just become the advert for the TT? If so, that's just wrong. :(

Sorry for the negativity, but to me it really does just look like the TT's slightly more athletic older brother.

edit: you've just caught me in a mood, R8. You're not that bad.

The thing i loved about the R8 when they first released it back in 07 was how modern the desgin was, it looked ahead of its time.
I actually like the design of the new model and i think it will look awesome in the flesh. The interior looks like a great place to be also and this was what the old model was always criticised for. Ill take a V10 Plus, thank you very much. :)

I'll take a 4.0T mapped to within an inch of its life, thanks.

I think the interior looks a little too cosy for my liking. The V10+ I looked at last year felt more stripped down & raw. OK, so it had the buckets & thus that will have made a difference, but that looks a bit too cosy comfy for my liking.

See G, I'm not going old after all. :biggrin2:

Funlly, your back in your 30's :)

I agree though, that needs bucket seats and some alacantara to look the part if it wants to look more sporty than the pics

A lot of people thought the existing r8 interior to be old hat, but apart from the prehistoric satnav, I always liked it

That looks very cool indeed. Would be perfect in Suzuka with those black wheels

I'm in two minds liking it and will have to see one in the flesh to make a final judgement. Having said that, I'm still in love with my R8 GT which looks very purposeful.
Too much power is barely enough.
