That's the stuff. Price is ok, just a bugger it doesn't come in 5l bottles.

A bit unnerving when it offers you a combo deal with redex for a diesel though!

Have a look on ebay, I've bought 12 litres of Edge Professional 5w30 for £65 before (12 x 1 litre bottles).

Castrol Edge 5W-30 is used for AVS and fixed servicing by Audi franchise, doesn't make a difference.

I've booked my car in for an annual service and I'm providing my own oil for the first time. On the confirmation email, they have stated that I need the 5w-30 Fully Synthetic VW 504 00 / VW 507 00 approved oil.
The B7 RS4 was designed to use 5w-30 only and I think the 5w-40 is too thick and would produce more heat.
I got one 4Lt tub for £13 from Asda! They had Castrol Edge 5w-40 on the shelf for £27.50 at the time, when I asked them to see if they had any 5w-30 in stock, they found one around the back and let me have it on the cheap.

Yeah I hear what your saying I had reservations also but was assured this was okay as I am going to track the car and it does say in the blurb "Also suitable for fast road or track day use, especially in engines where a 5w30 is normally specified." I have had it in the car for the past 3K miles all seem okay.
Good job on that price that was a bargain!
