Another Decoke topic

Hi,

Apologies for yet another decoke thread.

Car was booked in to Audi today to look at an intake manifold sensor not providing any reading. I asked them to look at the CB while they are at it. This is what they found. The car is a 2007 with 116000km. Does not look too bad. Audi reckon this should not really have any effect on performance. I asked them to clean it out while they have the IM off. I am awaiting the after pic. Your thoughts please? Can this 'little' CB have a +/-80bhp effect on performance?

As a side note regarding replacement of brakes all round. I was quoted (taking today's exchange rate into account) £2800.00 fitted. Is this on par with prices in the UK?

95 only :(

I have edited my post just as you posted with the question... can this little CB make a +/-80Bhp difference? I want to take it back to the dyno center when I get it back tomorrow to check what power it makes after the clean.

my feelings on deposit impact are pretty well known (and a beaten horse lol) around these parts
but in my opinion those deposits could not cause a loss of 80 HP, my guess not even 5

95 is good, we only get 93 (mon+ron)/2
