Pleasure
Just updated with info on the bulbs and a pic of the lamp with the chrome bulbs - might do one with the bumper back on when I get it back.
Bodyshop wanted to come and compare their paint chips (colour cards) with the wings which they did today so hopefully back tomorrow.
Should look ace in a silver car with no tango
BTW it works really well on an Iphone as it becomes a slideshow with the captions overlaid on the images - great if you want to view the guide while doing the work away from a PC

Finally got round to doing this over the weekend, looks so much better!
The only thing I did differently from neckarsulms great guide was putting the lights in the oven for a few mins to soften the sealant rather than using a heat gun.

Good Description as to how to do it. This may sound silly but, do you remove the orange lenses and not replace them with clear ones?

Alex,
All you do is pop out the orange lenses and you don't replace it.
What you do replace is the standard bulb with the special chrome bulbs that flash orange.
If you look at a factory non-tango lamp, IIRC it's just like the de-tango.

Actually... regarding temp (in an oven... pls specify Celsius or fahrenheit...
this is a temp you don't want to mess up

I de-tangoed mine but replaced the orange lenses with clear ones. Suppose you wouldn't be able to tell the difference unless you were looking for them though.

I got them from a guy in the States. He got them made specifically for the B7. The fit was Extremely good. I would say OEM. I think I might have his details somewhere if somebody need them?

I did 125C for about 2-3 minutes, they don't need much at all so err on the side of caution.
The sealant is quite soft already so it only needs a bit of heat to make it flexible enough to prise apart. Once you've prised apart one end with a lever you can use you hands and just pull the rest of the lens off.
