New RS4 Owner

Post by arnnie » Fri May 25, 2012 1:44 pm

Well i just thought i would say "Hi" to all the B7 RS4 owners out there as i have or will have come next weekend finally joined you in RS4 ownership. I have just place a deposit with "Boss Performance" in bury for a dark Blue "07" plate RS4 which i am hoping to collect all going well next Sunday 03rd June.

What i am hoping now is you guys will say Boss are good, get in great cars and i am going to love RS4 ownership however i feel that may not be the case

Would also love some adivse from you guys on exhausts as the car i am purchasing is a totally std item, 1 owner from new and 44k miles with FSH. I had a Milltek system on my pervious car however i see there are more than a few options out there for the RS4.

All the Best,

Chris

Thats always nice to hear, did the optics include black audi badges front and rear? As it seems to have that plus no RS4 badges to the front or rear either :?

+1

Mugello was one of the colours I wanted when looking for my RS and I had a look at quite a few before getting mine, but never saw one with black optics.

The colour comes up a treat...when it's clean...and sunny so I hope this weather lasts until you pick the car up.

Look forward to seeing what you do with the exhaust because that's close to the top of my list for getting done, but I'm struggling a bit to decide what road to go down with it.

The black Audi badges are an aftermarket mod not part of the black optics pack. They all came with RS4 badges too so a previous owner must have removed them.
The black optics on your car gives you black grill, black window surrounds, black exhaust tips and body coloured strip along the bottom of the boot lid.

Very nice car. My number one choice of colour was always Daytona Grey Pearl but i did also consider the Mugello Blue and i think your car looks great, especially with the Black Optic pack. Personally i prefer the stock RS4 badges but the stealth look suits the car. In terms of exhaust ive just ordered a brand new Milltek Non-Res with Valved and Black Satin Tips - hoping it will arrive beginning of June and can't wait to have it fitted!! Enjoy the car and good luck for next weekend.

Hi Chris , good find there , shame you missed out on your preferred choice by a few days ,Mugello was my second choice after Daytona but never found one of either so now have Phantom black ,great find with the black optics , tho i find the removal of the rs4 badges by the previous owner hardly a "stealth" move :-)As for the milly , its rather subjective, I hope you like it if you decide on one ,it does sound awesome from outside at full chat :-),I have 100 cell cats and a resonated valved system and still find the resonance inside the car at about 1800-2000 rpm very annoying, I disconnected the vac pipes for a few days so the valves were open all the time (to stop the stupid opening , closing then opening sequence )and the booming inside the car was terrible , yeah you can drive around it but imho a 3k exhaust should not offend the eardrums so much , outside ...OH YES inside ..NO! . I have the non res centre section also and it will no doubt sound amazing but no way is it going on my car!
note to self ...prepare for being called a pussy by forum members
